We're proud to present our 22nd season of Major Masterworks and Contemporary Classics.

We begin our season with the play by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, a sharply funny and unexpectedly revealing behind-the-scenes look at the filming of Jaws. Centered around the famously malfunctioning shark, The Shark is Broken traps actors Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, and Roy Scheider in a battle of egos, wit, and insecurity. What emerges is a hilarious and deeply human portrait of artists grappling with fame, rivalry, and the fragile nature of masculinity.
Tony Kushner’s landmark epic launches one of the most ambitious theatrical journeys ever staged. Set against the backdrop of the AIDS crisis and Reagan-era America, Angels in America - Millennium Approaches weaves together the lives of a diverse group of characters confronting illness, identity, politics, spirituality, and an illness as mysterious as it is cruel. By turns fiercely political and wildly imaginative, it lays the groundwork for a story of transformation and reckoning.
The season continues with the heartwarming play by Paula Vogel, a moving and music-filled tapestry of stories set on Christmas Eve in 1864. From the White House to the battlefields and beyond, Vogel interlaces narratives of soldiers, civilians, and historical figures—including Abraham Lincoln—into a hopeful meditation on compassion, connection, and the possibility of peace in a divided nation.
Spring blossoms with Kushner’s sweeping continuation of his Pulitzer Prize-winning saga, which expands the story into a visionary meditation on change, forgiveness, and progress. As characters grapple with loss and revelation, the play ultimately points toward resilience and the possibility of a more just and compassionate future. Together, both parts of Angels in America form an unforgettable theatrical event.
The season concludes with this powerful play by Pearl Cleage. Audiences are invited into the elegant world of a prominent Black debutante society in 1960s Alabama. As preparations for a grand cotillion unfold, long-held secrets and shifting social realities come to light. Cleage’s play blends wit, warmth, love, and social insight into a rich exploration of tradition, class, and cultural identity.

*BONUS SHOW NOT A PART OF THE SEASON!*
As a special bonus to the season, Winter brings this timeless musical, inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ Don Quixote. Filled with soaring music, unforgettable songs, and stirring theatricality, the musical follows Don Quixote’s quest to pursue justice, beauty, and impossible dreams in a cynical world. Anchored by the iconic anthem “The Impossible Dream,” this beloved classic is a powerful tribute to hope, idealism, and the transformative power of imagination.
